Alright, don't be afraid, that was last month. We are kicking off this months wine tasting with wines from California, Australia, and Chile.

Yangarra Park Shiraz Australia 2006 $16.99

Wine Enthusiast 91 Points

EDITOR’S CHOICE

“A unique blend of spice and blueberry sets this Shiraz

apart from the pack, and it pulls away even further due

to a lush, creamy texture and long, mouth coating finish.

There’s great purity to the fruit, but enough peppery

spice for complexity. Drink now – 2016.”— November 2008

Errazuriz Carmenere Chile 2007 $14.99

Wine Maker Notes:

Deep violet-ruby red, with a nose that starts with notes of sweet spice and chocolate and leads into black fruit that builds along with characteristic black pepper notes. Full of rich flavor and excellent typicity on the palate, with notes of roasted red peppers, soy sauce, cinnamon, and blackberries, complemented by tobacco and pencil lead. This is a lush, mouth filling wine with soft, ripe and very sweet tannins and a firm acidity that refreshes and guarantees longevity in the bottle.

Carmel Road Chardonnay California 2006 $14.99

Beverage Dynamics

Four Stars July 09

"Rich chardonnay with pronounced minerality and firm acidity; a fruit forward wine with a very rich palate of grapefruit, peach and melon flavors framed with minerality leading to a long, crisp finish."

Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc New Zealand 2008 $10.99

Wine Enthusiast

Best Buy

Delicate lime, passion fruit and melon flavors with a distinct minerality and a tiny bit of well integrated oak contribute to add a bit more richness then the typical "grapefruity" New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Pavilion Crossing Cabernet Sauvignon California 2007 $11.99

Wine Advocate

"A drop dead value"

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, this wine is a drop dead value. Cedar, sweet black currant fruit, licorice, and tobacco leaf-like notes emerge from this spicy, ripe wine. A wonderful discovery, Pavilion Crossing appears to be making some terrific wines at incredibly low prices.

Tres Picos Garnacha Spain 2008 $15.99

A consistent 90+ point winner and a great value

Thursday 19th 3-6PM

Brindly Gold Coffee & Coconut Rum - A coffee flavored &  coconut flavored rum St. Kitts

Chocovine - Dutch chocolate blended with red wine. A favorite any time we sample it and after dinner drink for the holidays.

Saga Vodka -

Distillers Notes:

It should have hints of true Grain flavor. A subtle aroma. A lingering smoothness. Real vodka should be something you can smell, sip and savor. When you mix it, it should reinvent your signature drink. Real vodka should not have dirty secrets. Because you have to filter those out, and when you do, you take the good character with the bad.

Saaga 1763 has a perfect balance of purity and a smooth taste and aroma that retain the fine character of the Grain. The vital Grain and slow distillation method provides the unique and original taste of Saaga 1763.

Saaga 1763 is so smooth you can truly enjoy it like fine cognac: straight up, slow sipping.

Compare Saaga 1763 vodka with other vodkas at room temperature and discover the taste the difference and the purity.

La Playa - A Chilean Carmenere

WINEMAKER'S NOTES: "An alluring example of the Bordeaux variety that was considered long-lost until it was rediscovered in Chile a decade ago. Deep ruby color with notes of ripe red fruits, spices, tobacco, pepper and cedar. On the palate it is very approachable thanks to its ripe tannins and good balance, with notes of blackberry jam, dark chocolate and sweet fruits, plus a long, pleasant finish."
