Hits of spice on the front end. However it is by no means over spiced. The finish is very elegant with notes of dark chocolate on the palate. This is a Rye that will fool many. Put it in a tasting and wow some friends for most will think this drinks like a great bourbon. This whiskey would be a great whiskey to drink with dessert.
