Rich shades of ruby under a thick glassy top. Black cherry bark on the nose, aromas of plum and berry run into earthy undertones of roasted vanilla bean. Dark, juicy berries on the approach are enriched by a tannic and smoky vanilla complexity on the mid palate coupled with a dry essence of braised pear. The finish is long with subtle hints of sun dried raisins; tannins persist.
